Big Brother 20 Episode 10 Recap: The Bros Fight For Their Lives

The bros are in danger in the Big Brother 20 house and they’re grasping at everything they can to save one of them so the other can rally votes to stay come Thursday night. But they’re not doing so well with their plans.

They blundered the veto, they haven’t gotten Sam on board to use her power on them and Scottie shot down a final 3 deal with them. Are they going to be able to pull it off or is this the end of the road for Winston or Brett?

Wednesday night’s episode picks up right after Scottie nominated Brett and Winston. Brett and Scottie head to the Head of Household room to talk it out. Brett is angry but calm despite the edit they’re trying to give us. Winston, however, isn’t as calm. He’s tells Scottie that he’s gone next week, so he better hope he doesn’t win Veto. There was a lot more aggression to it, but they left some of that out. What that all really lets Scottie know is that he made the right choice this week in nominating Brett and Winston.

Winston gets with Rachel so they can get to work on a target for when one of them wins veto and comes off the block. They of course don’t want the replacement to be Rachel or Angela, so they come up with Kaityln.

Joining Scottie, Winston and Brett in the veto competition this week are Tyler, Rachel and Rockstar. And this veto competition is a Mama Mia! sequel competition. The players have to spin until they’re dizzy and then stack some champange glasses. If they run out of time, they have the chance to re-enter one time by agreeing to be a have-not.

Brett is killing the competition, but lets his time run out, so he has to start over and become a have-not. Brett really blew that. He was just about to win but let his time run out and that let Rachel and Scottie take the lead. In the end it was Scottie who won the Power of Veto.

So the veto saving one of them is out. On to Plan 2. Which really isn’t a plan at all, but more like production trying to make us think there’s a chance that Sam might use her power on one of them this week. Expect a lot more of this angle in Thursday night’s episode.

But in case that doesn’t work, the bros decide to come up with a Plan C which is to offer Scottie a final 3 deal. They pitch to him a secret deal that includes Scottie taking Brett off the block and backdooring Kaitlyn. And then the three of them can work together for the rest of the game and no one would suspect it. They have their talk with Scottie and their plan really isn’t that bad if I’m being honest.

Bret and Winston tell Scottie that his side of the house will be happy because Kaitlyn sent Swaggy home and their side of the house will be happy because he saved the bros. Scottie gives them some cricket noises and then tells them he’ll think about it, but he’s not really going to think about it.

Soon after that, Kaitlyn dreams that Brett and Winston are coming for her. She goes to ask Scottie if it was really a dream. He tells her that they actually did come to him and pitch a deal where he saves Brett and then nominates Kaitlyn. (In real life, Bayleigh went down and told Kaitlyn about this and told her Scottie wanted to tell her all about it, so it wasn’t a psychic hit at all).

Feeling ultra wacky and angry, Kaitlyn decides to call the bros out. She asks them about what their plan was and it was supposed to be more exciting, but it was just a few minutes of Kaitlyn looking insane.

At the veto meeting Scottie decides not to save Brett or Winston. So one of the bros will go this week. Unless Sam uses her power (psst, she’s not using her power this week, don’t let CBS trick you into thinking that). Bonus points go to Brett this week for a pretty funny veto speech that included him pretending to get a vision that Scottie uses the veto on him. Instant classic.
