Big Brother 20: The Best And Worst Of Week 8

It was one of the quietest weeks of Big Brother 20, but that doesn’t mean there weren’t plenty of good and bad moments to look back on. Let’s take a look.

The Best and Worst Of Big Brother 20 Week 8

Thumbs Up: Endurance Comp! Yay! We got to watch an endurance comp on the Live Feeds!

Thumbs Down: Endurance Comp! We got to watch an endurance comp on the Live Feeds for maybe 20 minutes. For some reason, Big Brother production made the slip and slide comp track shorter, the funnels larger and the bowls smaller (actually they aren’t even bowls anymore, but are tubes).

Thumbs Up: Faysal Wins HOH. I usually like when the power shifts back and forth, but since the Hacker interfered with Haleigh’s HOH, I was happy to see Faysal win HOH so that he could even out the numbers where Haleigh failed.

Thumbs Down: Faysal Decides to Be Dumb. Well, ignore that previous thumbs up. Because Faysal decided to go against his alliance (OF THREE MIND YOU) and nominate Scottie. He literally has two people on his side and he decided target one of them. And no matter what he or anyone else says, it’s because he was jealous of Scottie and Haleigh’s friendship.

Thumbs Down: Zingbot. For such a great season otherwise, Zingbot kind of blew this year. His zings were either not funny or too low-blow. Something was definitely off for something we usually look forward to every season.

Thumbs Up: Brett Wins Veto. I was happy to see Brett win a comp and watching him pile all the mattresses in the house on top of his veto folder to hide it better was hilarious. That wasn’t some groundbreaking strategy, but it worked.

Thumbs Down: Haleigh. Faysal is catching all the heat for what went down with Scottie this week while Haleigh is getting a good girl edit. If you don’t watch the Live Feeds then you missed out on her getting drunk with JC and being all in with the plan to target Scottie this week. She had a few moments of clarity (apparently mostly in the Diary Room), but for the most part she was on board with the plan this week. And actually this week wasn’t the first time she was OK with Scottie being targeted.

Thumbs Down: Scottie is Evicted. I know Scottie made a few blunders this week, but him getting evicted just makes no sense on any level. He handled it well and basically decided he’d just start banking on a Battle Back.. which leads me to my next entry.

Thumbs Up: Battle Back. I’m often mixed on whether or not I like these competitions. I think I’m OK with it this season because the players already sent to jury have a lot to prove and one of them getting back in the game will be another challenge for Level 6, and they need more of a challenge since they’ve gotten their way for several weeks now. We want the game to not be so easy for one group of people, right? Right.

Thumbs Down: HOH not televised or on the Live Feeds. For some reason we didn’t get to see the HOH competition on the Live Feeds this week and that is super lame. Especially after last week’s “endurance” competition lasted about 20 minutes.

What were your favorite moments from Big Brother 20 Week 8?
