They also trust Matt and think they can work with him until the end. Mark thinks they might be safe if they don’t win HoH, but could still end up the targets.

5:00 AM BBT – Everyone is finally off to bed.

Cody seems dedicated to the idea of drawing in the outsiders and working with them to dismantle his alliance down the road. It’s a long term plan and one that’s off to a very rocky start. Still several more days until the first eviction show so there’s plenty of time for the house to change its mind.

  1. Even though I am rooting for Christmas, I have to wonder what the showmances are thinking. Even though they are a minority they need to stick together and Jason seems to want to work with them. But since my choice will benefit, I have to cheer for there splintering off.

    • How can the showmances (or anyone) work with an autocrat that they can’t trust?

Cody simply “thinks” he’s their leader. Why would anyone in that house follow him?Quite honestly he’s managed to f up what should have been an easy HOH.

Cody would seem to be unable to adapt in uncontrolled situations. Hence he tried to play “the long game” by setting up for scenarios that may occur weeks from now (having a working relationship with the other side so that they can take out his team members).

Despite what Cody may think, that’s not flexible thinking. That’s VERY rigid thinking. The game has many twists and turns. A contestant may need to shift strategies week to week. Cody is trying to lay out the ENTIRE COURSE of the game in week one! A course that will fit his needs and wants.

Maybe the power got to him. Maybe winning two of the first three comps made him think Big Brother was going to be easy. Personally I think he’s simply an arrogant, entitled, linear thinking, asshole.

      Just remember,

Pride goeth before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.

      • Well said. I think he was obsessed with taking Paul out and let that color his decision making. Even now he wants to win week 4 HOH so he can go after Paul again. Whoever wins between Paul and Cody is going to take control of the couple alliance imo.

      • If Cody stays, which I hope not, then I want him to go after Paul. I am sick of these vets constantly being cast again and again and getting preferential treatment by BB. I don’t care for this newbies being so enamored by Paul.

      • The problem isn’t that Cody is after Paul. That’s all fine and dandy. The problem is his method of going after Paul is sloppy and his allies don’t trust him anymore.

Paul on the other hand actually TRIES to make allies and doesn’t over do things like he did in 18 during week 1. Paul has learned. Cody probably won’t.

      • I think that one has been made abundantly clear. As long as you’re useful to him, yes. The second you aren’t… see ya.

    • I hope she stays. At first I thought Cody might have been putting on an “act” as part of his gameplan, but clearly he’s just a cocky moron. Going completely unilaterally on a decision and pissing off your alliance without even discussing them or warning them what could happen is usually a bad move…

I hope they turn on him, send Jillian out the door and make him follow her next week.

      • The first night when he was telling ALL THAT HE WAS and how exactly all was going to go……watch him..for someone who was supposed to have such a back ground behind him, he was really sloppy.

  2. The feeds were on fire all day Sunday. This has got to be one of the craziest first weekends of feeds ever. Feeds went live Thursday night revealing Megan had quit. The den of temptation speculation for the temptation and the curse created a lot of good talk. Alex, who became the new primary target, wins Veto to ruin all plans. Cody goes rogue and blindsides not only his alliance, but his showmance as well. Paul has safety, thus forcing a record 5 nominations in 1 week. Kevin is one of the funniest people on feeds in years, Josh is constantly doing random things, Paul is still entertaining, and there is an almost even split in the house with multiple sub groups within both sides and crossover loyalties. I’m fairly certain Christmas will end up staying this week since Paul, Dominque, Raven, Matt, Elena, Kevin, and Josh all have given their word to vote out Jillian and Paul will continue to keep people in line. Mark has said he will vote out Jillian even though we know he doesn’t want Christmas around because he doesn’t want to break off from Elena, Matt, and Raven. Really enjoying this season so far.

  3. Ok. So Joshua got the curse. It is unfortunate since I like him and vote for him this week. I was hoping Cody or Jessica get it.
Why did Cody choose to put up Christmas? Hopefully Jillian will go, but if Cody or Jessica leave next week, I will be happy. Cody reminds me of Paulie and how I liked him at the beginning, but then became really arrogant and thought that he was God’s gift to the world. I am not a fan of Mark and Elena either. Why is everyone’s on Paul’s side?

    • 1. Christmas and Paul are tight since he can’t nominate Paul
      2. Cody is like Paulie yes…. except they’re not brothers (Zing!)
      3. Apparently Paul has made bonds with various people (Kevin, Christmas, Raven)

    • I think everyone is on Paul’s side because they see him as a “bigger threat” that will have a bigger target so he’s maybe worth allying with for the time being. And in addition to that, aside from the help he’s getting from the pendant, he’s doing a great job of talking to everybody and building those relationships so that they might want to see an enemy or “floater” go before him.

      • He is doing the same as last season, playing all sides and hopefully the HGs with the exception of Kevin who probably never watched the show will see right through him.

    • Ramses got the curse not Josh. Josh is safe for the week since he took the golden apple

  4. Just before 9 AM BB time Christmas was seen laying on the ground saying her foot is broken and feeds cut to fish.

      • Not sure, feeds cut to her already laying on the ground in the backyard with her foot elevated. Jason went to DR to tell production. Came out looking for something in her bedroom (assuming her mic) and about that time feeds went to fish.

      • A sprain can hurt like hell, doesn’t have to be broken. But either way if she end up in a cast, will they allow her to stay or pull her for medical reason. That sucks for the game.

      • She’s a fitness professional. So if she tells us that her pain has more to do with her bones than her muscles, I’ll take her word for it. A sprain and a broken bone are two very different things.

If she has to be pulled from the game… Cody nominates a 6th person! The real curse of this season is being block buddies with Jillian…

      • Different yes, but they hurt as much. Anyway, it’s not that important if it is either one. What is important is that she might end up in a cast.

Feeds back yet ? Anything about this ?

  5. Moral of this story?

When you’re playing Big Brother and you want to be the leader of an alliance, make sure you keep a low capacity. 8-11 is overkill. Also try to BOND with your allies so they can trust you. Furthermore if you have a plan as HOH TALK to your allies and make sure you’re on the same page. Even if your idea is good, you don’t want to do anything without your alliance’s okay.

  6. “5:16 PM BBT – Cody tells Jessica that he cursed out production over the twist that is saving Paul.”

I have to feel for Cody here, he has all the good reason in the world to be mad. Bringing back Paul was a horrible move anyway. Just because some people felt he got rob last year doesn’t mean that BB owe anything to Paul. They put him in the house and then give him 4 weeks of safety. They knew the 1st vote would go to him. I know BB never been known to be fair all the time. But come on man.

    • I can see why that’s a problem. I said this before and I’ll say it again- as a Paul fan, bringing him back is a mistake. He’s more of all star material and they should’ve made BB19 either all returnees or all newbies. Is that too much to ask for?

      • Thing is… at this rate I don’t think Grodner and Meehan want an All Stars 2. That’s why they bring back HGs worthy of bringing back constantly.

      • I dont think there will be a All Star again, Julie Chen mentioned it before that the fans wants to “meet new people” …and it is easier for the show to gain more viewers with “new people” than returning people…

    • I agree. I have a hard time defending Cody, but I will say this. Going for Paul was a big move and definitely something that would benefit him and the rest of the house in a big way from a gameplay standpoint. Being completely blindsided by this pendant of protection after you nominate the guy would suck. For some reason, he’s been basking in the power to nominate people to the block, but dude has essentially nominated over 1/4 of the house in his one week as HOH. That’s a lot of enemies.

      • In my opinion Cody was totally screwed this week having to nominate so many people. That’s a lot of targets on his back. Big Brother should have handled this better but I guess they wanted the drama of Paul being immune.

    • I look at it another way. The week wouldn’t have been this interesting if it was easy to eliminate Paul. I also cannot stand Cody. The other housemates may be able to watch how Paul plays the game to enable their own game play I also thought last season was worse by bringing back more than one previous player. Anything is better for me when the house doesn’t all vote the same. Will see on Thursday how it turns out..

  7. So Paul took a temptation and his curse is that someone else will be cursed but Ramses took a temptation and his curse is that he has to put himself on the block sometime soon?? This is complete BS by production.

I don’t like Cody but he was right in trying to backdoor Paul and right for assuming everyone would vote him out. It’s just common sense. He had no way of knowing he’s playing with a bunch of dummies who want Paul to stay.

Wish we could hear Cody cussing out production for stacking Paul’s chance of winning the season.
Since Jessica immediately chose to be a Big Brother Basic Slut by having sex Cody, she’s the first member of my Never Cared trash can.
