They love ants. In addition to larvae, insects, scorpions, spiders, and worms. They will eat vegitaable and fruit roots…berries too. On occiasion frogs, snakes, and their eggs.
As a pet…I don’t think so. Not sure.
And, if an armadillo ever decides to visit your yard, trust me, it will make your yard its home

I don’t know what they eat, but they are edible house pets so you can eat them. lol They said this one taste like pork. Not chicken for a change. Do not under cook them as they’re known to carry leprosy.

Now..this is what I’ve read from many different people on the internet..but it’s the internet…so who knows how true it is. If it IS true..I will be VERY disappointed in my favorite reality show out there.
