Big Brother 11 Premiere Date Set
CBS has just revealed that Big Brother 11 will premiere on Thursday, July 9, 2009 at 8pm! That means Wednesdays are out and Thursdays are back for our more standard episode rotation!
The 11th season of “Big Brother” will premiere Thursday, July 9 at 8:00/7:00c on CBS, network sources confirmed to the site this afternoon.
The series will then continue on Sundays at 8:00/7:00c and Tuesdays at 9:00/8:00c, a slight deviation from last summer’s initial schedule of Sundays at 8:00/7:00c, Tuesdays at 9:00/8:00c and Wednesdays at 8:00/7:00c.
Many had speculated it would start on the Tuesday before (July 7th) but I waited for confirmation since just a few seasons ago we had a Thursday premiere despite recent Tuesday launches.
So now you know. BB11 is just six weeks away and I couldn’t be more excited. The cast is being finalized, the start date is set, and now all we have left to do is wait. Share your thoughts on the upcoming season below.

I am so done with this show. Loved it until the Donato’s proved it is rigged and the producers keep who they want and bend the rules for ratings. He was constantly in violation of rules and it was ignored because CBS thought his disgusting spitting and smoking was so entertaining. I haven’t watched since and won’t. Bad cutting and editing that year proved he was in cahoots with producers, given hints in letters from his son and allowed to touch other contestants which was a big no no until then. Also statements made by others that were not edited out of Diary room conversations where they were being prompted who to vote out.
So many of these shows now show how they are really “unreality tv”. This year Jon and Kate fake a marriage for two years, Celebrity Apprentice didn’t kick off Rivers for walking out, and BB totally scripted by producers. America smarten up these shows are ridiculous. I would rather watch reruns of Carol Burnett shows for my laughs

Thanks for the letting us know when the start date was going to be..I will be in flordia that date on vacation but im such a huge fan of this show that I will make sure that im in my hotel room in front of the tv at that time..Thanks again.

Thank goodness! I cannot believe it took this long to get a date. I was beginning to wonder if it would ever happen. I know, I need to get a life, but what the heck, i cannot wait for the 6 weeks to go by.

Yes, it’s about time that CBS brings back Big Brother. And don’t think about canceling as I would never watch CBS again.

I agree with you Mary. Season 8 was so rigged, I could not stand Dick or Daniele you could tell who Allison wanted to win. I stil love the show and can’t wait for it to come back on.

As we come to another season, has anyone learned anything from the previous 10 shows? No, they haven’t. Here are some clues. Relationships in the house never work and makes you a target. Never make deals during challenges. Stop being concerned about others, you don’t know these people and a lot of money is at stake. Men, stop lusting after every big boob chick. The same for women looking at every ab. These are ploys. When winning HOH,then be that. Otherwise, what’s the point of winning HOH if you are concerned about what they think. Make your own decisions. Last but not least, vote the men off first if you intend to a chance during physical competitions. If it’s a game and deception is involved, don’t get mad when they vote you off before you can vote them off. Can’t believe after 10 seasons, people are making the same dumb choices during the game.

Can’t wait for season 11. (Should be 10 because it’s the tenth summer, but that dumb half season 9 ruined it, lol.) Anyway, hopefully this year will be better than 10. 10 was okay but a bit boring.

BB is a dummied down, trash version of Survivor. Strip the quality people, nature elements, and intellect from survivor and you get BB! Bunch of hooey!!

I am glad to see Big brother coming soon, I hope the season is extra exciting. I haven’t missed a season in the last 5 yrs. Good luck to all the new contestants. Have a good summer.

I have been looking forward to BB 11 with anticipation that it will be just as good if not better than the last ones. Matt, thanks for letting us know that Showtime will continue to air BB After Dark. I’m addicted to it. I know - get a life, right!!

WOO HOO I am so pumped for BB to start! I cant wait. I became addicted since BB 7 and since BB 10 finished I have watched everyone from the first season till the 7th and OMG I still cant get enough! I cant wait and nor can my husband and my 4 and 9 year old,lol! We all love it!

I started watching when BB7 came out. Was hooked with it ever since. Got live feeds for BB10 and will forever on. Bought BB3 on DVD, was really dissapointed, could only sit through 2 dvds. Either BB has gotten alot better or I didn’t give BB3 enough time. Other BB dvd’s not out.

really bummed. I will be gone for the first 2 shows. Maybe I can talk my sister into watching them. She is not into the show. No computer so will not be able to chat.

I am so glad that Big Brother is starting up again. My whole family (especially my husband, my 6 year old son Beaux, my 5 year old son Tray, my 4 year old son Brock, and myself) are big fans of Big Brother.

@J-Bird: As noted above, the BB11 premiere will be July 9th at 8PM (ET/PT). So that’d be today.
