Diary Room: Adam Poch’s Player Rankings: Big Brother OTT – Finale Week

Adam’s final rankings for Big Brother Over The Top continue:

Justin Duncan – 2 strips Bacon with creole seasoning – We have never seen a character as unique as Justin in all the years of Big Brother – and he was a delight to watch for most of the season. If the season ended 2 weeks ago and he was in the final 3 – he may have had a chance to beat anyone – but as the game dragged on, he started losing some of his happiness. In that house, there was so much negative energy, and it can take it’s toll on even the most positive people. That is one thing fans can never really understand – the negative energy that lives inside those walls is real & powerful.

Justin would have gotten an extra strip of bacon if he was able to keep up his positive outlook, but the last few days were very tough on him, and his allies Kryssie & Jason turning on him was sad to see. He won the one Veto early on when he did not need to – and that was made him such a delight to watch. His lack of all BB knowledge was a breath of fresh air rather than the rest of the people that play too hard & overthink everything. He was eazy breazy yo, ya dig?

Kryssie Ridolfi – she gets the honor of TOFURKEY OF THE YEAR – I had a lot of high hopes for her going in, but she turned out to be a bad player with a bad attitude. She put all her eggs in Jason’s basket, and his negativity (which was 1/2 real, and 1/2 an act) rubbed off on her. She was rude & crude (if it rhymes it must be true) – she loved to fart on people’s pillows – and was the impetus for the name “Hypocridiots” She complained about how bad the Ball Smashers were treating the Late Night Jamboree – but then acted twice as bad as them.

But what really gets Kryssie the TotY award is how she threw away her chance at the prize by doing everything she could to get Jason to the end – and the probably victory. Her Final plea to America on why she should win was very disillusion – she was not the brains of her side – although she did convince Danielle to get rid of Whitney instead of Justin. But that was a bad move for her, as Whitney would have been a better ally for her in the long run. I hope after the show she can shake off the negative energy – which she probably will – and use that energy to focus on her music.

Morgan Willett – 3 strips Bacon – Morgan outlasted the rest of her alliance – by making herself look like a weak competitor. She did not want that role early on, but in Big Brother, if something is working, sometimes it’s hard to stop doing it. She did win a couple tough competitions – the Veto week 4 when she was on the block, HoH week 8 where she secured her spot in the Final 4, and then the head to head challenge vs Justin to get herself to the final 3.

Say what you want about Morgan’s gameplay, she earned her spot in the finals, and was not dragged there. She was not the biggest target in her alliance – and like i said, she embraced it. She knew she would have a hard time beating Shelby at the end, so she was OK with her going home during her HoH. She probably will not win tonight – but you cannot deny her as a deserving finalist.

Jason Roy – 5 strips Bacon – yes, Jason had played before, got voted into the house by the fans, and had a few Care Packages go his way – but he built an Army to protect him in the weeks he was vulnerable. People will complain that in a season where America had so much power, bringing a returnee gave him an unfair advantage – and that complaint is real… but this is still Big Brother – and we have seen this trend for years on the CBS show, so you gotta live with it – or stop watching.

Jason did win the challenges he needed to when he was in danger, convinced people to do what was best for him while making them think it was best for them. He totally used Kryssie, Justin, and Danielle to his advantage. He did “work with” Alex & Scott early when he should have been their target. The fake Final 5 deal came back to hurt Danielle more than him.

So regardless of what you think about a Vet coming back – he did play more strategic this time around. He did still have his sassy side – and that seemed to rub off on both his allies and his supporters online. He will most likely win the season, and will finally be able to move out of his mom’s basement!!

OK – there ya have it – another season in the books – we will be tuning in tonight to see if Jason walks away with the win, or if we will have the 2nd biggest voting upset in the past few weeks. There is a chance that Morgan can pull it out – but the biggest winner of the season is US the fans! We always say we want more Big Brother – and now we got it! Just really wish there was a little longer break between the seasons.

Thank you Matt from Big Brother Network for allowing me to write this column again. Thank you to everyone who has read this column this season. And a final THANK YOU to Chris D (aka @PupRiku on Twitter) who posted the leaderboard based on my Bacon / Tofu Rankings every week.

Unless I am asked back for BB19 – you will see me back here next year right here to breakdown & rank the new houseguests next summer! (In other words, see you back here next year!)

From outside the Big Brother House – have a great holiday season and enjoy your time away from Big Brother…for now!

  1. Man do I hate Jason. But it would really be awful if he doesn’t win. He’s clearly the most deserving person left.

      • That was a travesty. My biggest issue with that one is that I don’t think the jury should be so big. DaVonne was only in the house 51 of 99 days. She didn’t even see half of the game. I don’t see any reason she should have had a say in who won. On the other hand, I’m not sure I like America deciding the winner either. I have a feeling it’ll be more of a game of favorites, and there’s no round table to get rid of the “bitter” America voters to vote for the best game player over their favorite player. My solution: A jury of 5. Preferably 4 houseguests and one America vote. They’ll have been in the game long enough to have a feel for how good the gameplay was to make a well-informed decision.

      • The vet was meant to win from the beginning. Didn’t you notice how things seemed to always go her way. I will be shocked if Jason doesn’t win it since things always went his way this season.

      • Back in the first season, it was only America’s vote for the winner. Then came the jury of 7, which was expanded to 9.

But, yeah, I agree that there should be both a jury AND America’s vote for BBOTT if they do this again next year.

  2. Justin was probably leaving anyway since Morgan beat him at the end, so I don’t think his sourness towards the end was what got him out. Jason was always going to pick the weaker player Kryssie who stood by him from the beginning and although he liked Justin, Jason knows that America loves charismatic HGs so he couldn’t pick him. Alex did help her sister and Shelby learn the game. I agree with that, but the girls fought hard in the comps and America helping them is what got them towards the end.
I agree that Jason had so many people in his corner. His alliance all seemed to want to win the game, but as long as Jason was safe which is what really caused them the game. His social game was good in that sense and having the majority of the house on his side was good for him. Morgan not being on his side is what will make many Jason haters vote for her.

  3. And thank you for your input once more, Adam. It’s been a long year of Big Brother. I’m really looking forward to the break.

  4. Don’t think Jason deserves 5 Bacon, sorry. And Justin doesn’t deserve any. Otherwise I agree with the rest.
